Umuziwabantu Municipality is located at the foot of the Ingeli Mountain Range, with the Umtamvuna River forming its southern boundary. It borders the Eastern Cape to the north, west, and south, and is adjacent to uMzumbe and Ray Nkonyeni Municipalities to the east. It is one of four municipalities within its district. The municipality is predominantly rural, with the town of Harding serving as its administrative and urban center. The area includes commercial farmland, forestry plantations in the Weza region, and six traditional authority areas: KwaMachi, KwaJala, KwaMbotho, KwaFodo, Dumisa, and Bashweni.
